Accelerated Benefits

Also known as “Accelerated Death Benefits.” This life insurance policy is designed to pay beneficiaries benefits before the insured’s death in the event the insured becomes terminally ill, needs extensive medical intervention, or requires nursing home care. Payments made to the beneficiaries before the insured’s death are subtracted from the death benefits.
